ConocoPhillips Canada’s Continued Support during the Pandemic.
ConocoPhillips Canada continues to support the Fort St. John Association for Community Living with their most recent donation of $1500.
The company has sponsored the Association in the past, donating funds towards key events such as Of the Vine, one of the FSJACL’s main fundraising efforts. Due to the COVID pandemic, the Association was unable to hold their Of the Vine event this year, and ConocoPhillips donated their funds to the Community Connections Program instead.
The FSJACL’s Community Connections Program is one of the busiest programs in the Association, and those who utilize it see the benefit of building life skills, fostering relationships, and being supported in accessing the local community. Unfortunately, it has been hit the hardest in the face of pandemic restrictions.
The donation from ConocoPhillips is helping the FSJACL establish new, COVID-safe ways of providing services to those in the program. At this time there are a number of supports being offered via Zoom, and the Program space is being redone to safely accommodate in-person activities.
